Welcome to the ACM Student Chapter at Jain University! We’re a lively community of tech enthusiasts, driven by a passion for learning, innovation, and growth in computer science and technology. Our mission? To create a space where students can enhance their skills, connect with industry pros, and keep up with the latest trends in tech.

Our Mission

Our goal is simple: to build the next generation of tech leaders. We’re all about providing a supportive and engaging platform for students to dive into their interests in computing and technology. We aim to bridge the gap between what you learn in the classroom and what you need to excel in the industry.

What We Do

Capture The Flag (CTF) Competitions

Think you’ve got what it takes to solve cybersecurity challenges? Our CTF competitions are perfect for you! These events provide hands-on experience in a fun, competitive environment that’s also super educational.

Event Highlight: Two-Day CTF Event

  • Day 1: Kicked off with a cybersecurity workshop to get everyone prepped. Followed by a quiz, a demo CTF, and, of course, some snacks!
  • Day 2: The main event! Teams competed to capture flags across six virtual machines. We wrapped up with a flag capture demo, announcing the winners, and giving out certificates and prizes.

Workshops and Talks

We host a range of workshops and talks on hot topics in computer science and cybersecurity. These are great opportunities to learn from experts, get practical knowledge, and stay ahead of the curve.

Event Highlights:

  • Cybersecurity Concepts and Tools Workshop: Bridged the gap between theory and practice. We covered virus protection, AI tools for security, endpoint protection, DDoS attacks, and more. Participants got hands-on with tools like Burp Suite, and we ended with a hearty vote of thanks!
  • Hands-On Pentesting Workshop: A deep dive into pentesting, packed with theory and hands-on sessions. Members sharpened their skills with real-world scenarios and top-notch tools.
  • Social Engineering Program: Led by Mr. Mohammad Farhan Aslam, this session gave insights into the art of social engineering, with real-life examples and a deep dive into how companies use these techniques – and how to stay safe.
  • AI/ML Talk: Demystified AI and ML with foundational sessions, demos, and a lively Q&A with industry experts. Students explored AI/ML basics, learning methods, and regression techniques.

Weekly CTF Challenges

To keep things exciting, we also host weekly CTF challenges. It's a great way to sharpen your skills, stay engaged, and get ready for the bigger competitions – all while having fun!

We love a good discussion! Our group discussions dive into current and thought-provoking topics that get everyone thinking.

Event Highlight: Effects of Social Media on the Current Generation

We recently hosted a lively discussion on how social media impacts our generation, exploring both its upsides and its challenges.
